The Tournan Empire was an imperial civilization, centered on Sanctuary, established after the Tetrodosion-Tournan war in 2010. Finding themselves with a new planet, Sanctuary, the Tournan Hive decided they were going to keep it and become a part of the system around them. After the war ended, they placed a time dilation field around the planet, so that time would be fast relative to the rest of the universe. The strategy worked, and by 2011, they posessed god-like powers. On Sanctuary, they receded in to legend, and all that remains are the People of Sanctuary.
